Hi there, so day I am going to tell you how I did this snow flake nail art.
1. If I was doing this look on my own nails I would use a base coat. The base coat I am currently using is Orly bonder.
2. Next I did two coats of Zoya blaze which is a really great sparkly red polish.
3. I used a acrylic paint to draw on my snow flake. The paint I used was Crafter's choice gleaming silver, which as fine glitter running through it.
4. Lastly I finished with a top coat. I am currently using Orly polishield.
I hoped you enjoyed this. And let me know if you tried this on your nails.

Red Alert!
Hi there I am going to be doing a series of blog post. I am going to be going through my nail polish collection by colour. So I am starting off with red I hope you enjoy.
I have nine red in my collection, which is surprising as I did think I liked red nails that much.
Mavala London; This is the first of two Mavala's in my red collection. This is a bright true red cream polish which is opaque in two coats. This will last on my nails about 3-4 days without chipping. You can get Mavala at Boots or Debenhams and I believe it is a permanent polish in there line. I am wondering if they called it London as its like the London bus colour? This polish is not unique there are dupes of it out there, but as its the oldest red in my collection I have kept it. This polish would be great from a Valentines day manicure with a pink polish, or a half moon manicure with a nude polish.
Nails Inc Piccadilly Circus; This is my one and only Nails in polish in my red collection. Its a red purple berry colour, which is again opaque in two coats. I got this polish at Boots but Nails inc is quite pricy so I'd put it more in high end categories. I believe this is in their permanent line. I think they name their polish after places in London. Again this can be easily duped so if you don't want to pay Nails inc prices there are drugstore alternatives. This is a great transition colour from summer to winter.
Mavala Ruby; This is my second Mavala in the reds. Its a pink red with a raspberry look that is a couple of shades lighter than Nails inc Piccadilly circus. This colour is opaque in two coats. I have to say I am not a fan of this colour I only keep it in my collection because its one of my mums favourite nail polishes.
Barry M Pomegranate; This is my one and only Barry M polishes in reds. As the name suggests its a pomegranate colour. This is one of the gelly hi shines, which I believe to be a permanent line. Despite it being a gelly polish you can get this opaque in two coats. This polish looks great on its own or with a silver micro glitter.
Essie leading lady; A purple red raspberry glitter polish. This polish need three coats to get opaque. This is a mini polish which was part of the winter collection mini set 2012 along with snappy and beyond cosy. If you want this polish you might be able to get you hands on it if you have a look on amazon. This is a great xmas party shade on it own or on top of any other red. When this polish is hit by sun light it just sparkles on the nails.
Essie in stitches; Now this polish was difficult to place as it could of when in the pinks or peach colours, I would say its a brick colour. I believe this polish is in Essie permanent line. Again this is not a polish I use it one of my mums. This I'd say would be a good work appropriate nail colour.
Ciate Boudoir; A classic red, which is opaque in 2 coats. This again is a mini polish a I got mine in the Ciate mini mani advent calendar, but I believe it is a permanent shade. I get my Ciate polishes from Space NK. This is a great all year round colour and everybody needs a classic red in there collection. You could use this in half moon manicures or with gold glitter in a fade out French tip.
Elf Red-y or not; A warm metallic red. This colour is opaque in two coats but does not last long on the nails. I didn't think I'd like this colour because I only like metallic if they are metal colour, but I was pleasantly surprised. This is a mini polish as well, it came in a 14pc nail cube set called jewel so I am not sure if you can get this own its own.
Zoya Blaze; Berry red holographic glitter polish. This is my favourite red in my collection its so pretty and just sparkles on the nail like a Christmas glass ornament. I get my Zoya polish from Nail care club. This polish came out in the winter 2012 ornate collection but you can still get it. This polish is opaque in two coats.
Well I hope you enjoyed that and look out for my orange nail polish collection coming soon.
