Ode to orange

Hi there!

Today I will continue with an analysis of my nail polish collection by colour. This post will be about the colour orange, which I didn’t think would really suit me but after trying it out once, I cannot get enough of it.

'Barry M' Coral: This polish is where my love of orange started, although it is called 'coral' it is actually a bright orange/red which look great on pale skin. This is a cream polish two coats and its opaque. 'Barry M' polishes last about 3-4 days on my nails, this is truly a great polish I’d definitely recommend them.

'Essie Snap Happy' - This is a mini polish and came in a set of three along with 'Leading Lady' (see red collection) and 'Beyond Cosy', which was part of the winter 2012 collection. This shade is darker than 'Barry M' Coral and is much redder. This shade was limited edition and if you would like to purchase it, Amazon is a great place to find limited edition or discontinued shades.

'Ciate Encore' - This is also a mini polish, I got this in their 'mini mani' advent calendar last year. If you are unsure about orange polish this might be the one to try, it’s a burnt orange colour making it a bit easier to wear.

'Topshop Bounce' - This is a new polish to my collection, is a bright pastel orange. This polish would look great with a white dot manicure. It can be a bit streaky in formula but is still very workable. Three coats would be best for this formula to get it opaque. To make this polish even brighter you could layer this over a white, but I would not class it as a neon.

'Zoya Arizona' - This is a bright tangerine-orange cream polish. This came out in the beach collection but is still available on nail care clubs website. This polish is also new to my collection and will be great in this summer. The formula of this polish is great its opaque in two coats.

So that’s it for my orange polish collection, if you have an orange polish that you really like and wasn't covered by me, please leave me a comment. The next colour in my collection will be peach so stay tuned for that.
