Brillant Blue

Brilliant Blue

Hi there

Today is the turn of blue nail polish in my collection posts. I have six polishes to talk about so let’s get started.

Essie after school boy blazer; a dark navy almost black cream polish. This polish came out in the autumn 2013 collection. This was my first blue polish, I wasn’t sure if I would like blue polishes so I thought this would be a good one to start with. This is a great formula from Essie being opaque in just 1 coat.

Elf sea escape; a dark navy almost black with a ton of blue/green shimmer. This polish is a mini and came as part of a nail set called 14pc jewel nail cube. The shimmer is only visible in direct sunlight and also is a 1 coater. I wore this polish with an accent nail of Ciate metallic silver caviar pearls.

Zoya nyx; a pale blue pixie dust (texture polish) with silver shimmer. This polish came out in the pixie dust spring 2013 collection. I love pixie dust they look so amazing on your nails and have to be my favourite texture polishes. To keep that texture this polish requires no topcoat.

Zoya neve; a deep royal blue with blue shimmer. This polish was part of the satin autumn collection of 2013. This polish looks amazing on its own, I am planning to wear it with Zoya Monet topcoat soon.

China Glaze what a pansy; a blue/purple cream. This polish was part of this year’s city flourish collection. This is a great spring/summer nail polish colour and would look amazing with a floral stamping manicure.

Sally Hansen mermaid’s tale; a blue gelly base with green and blue chucky glitters. This polish would be better used as a topper over any other polish, because it would take too many coats to become opaque. It is said to be a dupe for Deborah Lippmann’s across the universe.

That is my blue nail polish collection, look out for greens next.
