Lip addict tag
Hi
there
Today I am going to be doing another tag post
which originally stared on youtube. This is the lip addict tag and from the
picture above you can see I have a lot to talk about so lets get started,
1.
Favourite
balm/ treatment?
I have two lip balms to talk about.
Firstly Nuxe reve de meil which is the one I use in the evening as its very
nourishing on the lips , also its in a little tub so I find it more hygienic to
use at home. For on the go I use burt’s bees lip salve which comes in different
flavours. I am currently using pomegranate.
My lip scrub that I use is love and
toast which unfortunately only comes in a set at the moment.
2.
Best
eye catching red?
Beaute weightless lip crème in
masochist is my high end choice. Its a vamp red which is great for evening
makeup looks. I would say before wearing a red lip colour I advise using a lip
scrub and lip balm, and if you are concerned about it bleeding, Lipstick queen
has a great invisible lip liner which you can use with any colour. My other
choice is Revlon lip butter in candy apple, this is a great product if you are
just starting to wear red lips, as its easy application and moisturizing
properties makes it so easy to wear.
3.
Best
luxury and best drugstore?
I
have two high end brands Chanel and Nars. Its hard to choose one product from
each brand, but here goes. Chanel caratere which is a medium berry colour,
which is a great everyday colour. Chanel lipsticks are great quality and are so
worth the money I only have two at the moment but I plan to buy more. My Nars
favourite is catfight a brownish plum which has become my go to lipstick. Nars
has such a wide range of lip product that they have a colour and texture that
will suit everybody. Nyx is one of the choices from drugstore. I love their
round lipsticks, mega shine glosses and butter gloss. If I was forced to pick
my favourite I’d have to go for Thalia it’s a round lipstick which is a couple
of shades darker than my natural lip colour.
Revlon also has some great lip products, including their lip crayons,
lip butters and lipsticks. I love their matte balm, especially sultry.
4.
Best
Mac Lipstick?
This was a hard choice, I went through
my collection and I narrowed it down to two. Brave which is my everyday shade
of brownish pink and Please Me which is a bright matte coral colour.
5.
Most
disappointing?
I
don’t really keep products that I don’t get on with , so I haven’t got one in
the picture. But I find if I am thinking of buying a lip product I look at
swatches online and reviews to avoid disappointment.
6.
Liner
yes or no?
Definitely
yes. I use liners sometimes as lip colour on their own, or to keep my lip
colour from bleeding. I recommend Lipstick queen invisible liner as it goes
with any lip colour. One of my favourites to wear on its own is Natural
collection espresso.
7.
Best
gloss?
Beaute medusa because it’s a great nude
for pale skin tones and is not sticky. Nyx tiramisu another great nude. Mac
delight my favourite lip colour shade.
8.
Something
extra
I went to Mac and Bobbi brown recently
and picked up some lip products, so here is a mini haul.
Mac twig a brownish plum stain finish
lipstick
Mac amorous deep vamp plum stain finish
lipstick
Mac syrup pink berry lustre finish
lipstick
Mac crosswire coral cremesheen finish
lipstick
Mac nightmoth liner dark plum
Bobbi Brown tulle a brownish pink
lipstick
Well I hope you enjoyed this post and
let me know your favourite lip product.

Ode to orange
Today
I will continue with an analysis of my nail polish collection by colour. This
post will be about the colour orange, which I didn’t think would really suit me
but after trying it out once, I cannot get enough of it.
'Barry
M' Coral: This polish is where my love of orange started, although it is called
'coral' it is actually a bright orange/red which look great on pale skin. This
is a cream polish two coats and its opaque. 'Barry M' polishes last about 3-4
days on my nails, this is truly a great polish I’d definitely recommend them.
'Essie
Snap Happy' - This is a mini polish and came in a set of three along with
'Leading Lady' (see red collection) and 'Beyond Cosy', which was part of the
winter 2012 collection. This shade is darker than 'Barry M' Coral and is much
redder. This shade was limited edition and if you would like to purchase it,
Amazon is a great place to find limited edition or discontinued shades.
'Ciate
Encore' - This is also a mini polish, I got this in their 'mini mani' advent
calendar last year. If you are unsure about orange polish this might be the one
to try, it’s a burnt orange colour making it a bit easier to wear.
'Topshop
Bounce' - This is a new polish to my collection, is a bright pastel orange.
This polish would look great with a white dot manicure. It can be a bit streaky
in formula but is still very workable. Three coats would be best for this
formula to get it opaque. To make this polish even brighter you could layer
this over a white, but I would not class it as a neon.
'Zoya
Arizona' - This is a bright tangerine-orange cream polish. This came out in the
beach collection but is still available on nail care clubs website. This polish
is also new to my collection and will be great in this summer. The formula of
this polish is great its opaque in two coats.
So
that’s it for my orange polish collection, if you have an orange polish that
you really like and wasn't covered by me, please leave me a comment. The next
colour in my collection will be peach so stay tuned for that.

Snow flake in June
Hi there, so day I am going to tell you how I did this snow flake nail art.
1. If I was doing this look on my own nails I would use a base coat. The base coat I am currently using is Orly bonder.
2. Next I did two coats of Zoya blaze which is a really great sparkly red polish.
3. I used a acrylic paint to draw on my snow flake. The paint I used was Crafter's choice gleaming silver, which as fine glitter running through it.
4. Lastly I finished with a top coat. I am currently using Orly polishield.
I hoped you enjoyed this. And let me know if you tried this on your nails.

Red Alert!
Hi there I am going to be doing a series of blog post. I am going to be going through my nail polish collection by colour. So I am starting off with red I hope you enjoy.
I have nine red in my collection, which is surprising as I did think I liked red nails that much.
Mavala London; This is the first of two Mavala's in my red collection. This is a bright true red cream polish which is opaque in two coats. This will last on my nails about 3-4 days without chipping. You can get Mavala at Boots or Debenhams and I believe it is a permanent polish in there line. I am wondering if they called it London as its like the London bus colour? This polish is not unique there are dupes of it out there, but as its the oldest red in my collection I have kept it. This polish would be great from a Valentines day manicure with a pink polish, or a half moon manicure with a nude polish.
Nails Inc Piccadilly Circus; This is my one and only Nails in polish in my red collection. Its a red purple berry colour, which is again opaque in two coats. I got this polish at Boots but Nails inc is quite pricy so I'd put it more in high end categories. I believe this is in their permanent line. I think they name their polish after places in London. Again this can be easily duped so if you don't want to pay Nails inc prices there are drugstore alternatives. This is a great transition colour from summer to winter.
Mavala Ruby; This is my second Mavala in the reds. Its a pink red with a raspberry look that is a couple of shades lighter than Nails inc Piccadilly circus. This colour is opaque in two coats. I have to say I am not a fan of this colour I only keep it in my collection because its one of my mums favourite nail polishes.
Barry M Pomegranate; This is my one and only Barry M polishes in reds. As the name suggests its a pomegranate colour. This is one of the gelly hi shines, which I believe to be a permanent line. Despite it being a gelly polish you can get this opaque in two coats. This polish looks great on its own or with a silver micro glitter.
Essie leading lady; A purple red raspberry glitter polish. This polish need three coats to get opaque. This is a mini polish which was part of the winter collection mini set 2012 along with snappy and beyond cosy. If you want this polish you might be able to get you hands on it if you have a look on amazon. This is a great xmas party shade on it own or on top of any other red. When this polish is hit by sun light it just sparkles on the nails.
Essie in stitches; Now this polish was difficult to place as it could of when in the pinks or peach colours, I would say its a brick colour. I believe this polish is in Essie permanent line. Again this is not a polish I use it one of my mums. This I'd say would be a good work appropriate nail colour.
Ciate Boudoir; A classic red, which is opaque in 2 coats. This again is a mini polish a I got mine in the Ciate mini mani advent calendar, but I believe it is a permanent shade. I get my Ciate polishes from Space NK. This is a great all year round colour and everybody needs a classic red in there collection. You could use this in half moon manicures or with gold glitter in a fade out French tip.
Elf Red-y or not; A warm metallic red. This colour is opaque in two coats but does not last long on the nails. I didn't think I'd like this colour because I only like metallic if they are metal colour, but I was pleasantly surprised. This is a mini polish as well, it came in a 14pc nail cube set called jewel so I am not sure if you can get this own its own.
Zoya Blaze; Berry red holographic glitter polish. This is my favourite red in my collection its so pretty and just sparkles on the nail like a Christmas glass ornament. I get my Zoya polish from Nail care club. This polish came out in the winter 2012 ornate collection but you can still get it. This polish is opaque in two coats.
Well I hope you enjoyed that and look out for my orange nail polish collection coming soon.
